Happy Father’s Day, Mr. Cat!!

Standard

Sunday is Father’s Day. We humans like to get gifts for our fathers. Made me wonder what I would give to my father if he had been a cat. Interesting concept. Here’s what I came up with for your cat(s).

First of all, they would probably want a party. (When you weren’t home)

Get This Party Started

Once you are home, presents would be expected. How about a sweater?

Black Sweater Cat

That’s probably too hot for summer. Maybe a new hat.

My Dancing Hat

Let’s see what else they would like. Perhaps a nice trip somewhere.

Dad's On TV

Catnip Kicked In

If a long trip is not convenient, try a shorter one.

I'm Going to the Library

If your cat is computer literate, perhaps they would like to post on Facebook.

I Love This Post

Human dads would like chocolates, but that’s not good for cats.

I Don't Like Chocolates

However, they might like flowers.

Smells So Good!

One thing I KNOW they would like is a new box to play in.

The Reflexes of a Cat

Something else they would appreciate is a nice treat.

Thank You

I Want Tacos

However, if it’s not what they want, you may see this!

No Tuna No Snuggles

They might enjoy music while they are eating.

I No U Is In There

When the day is done, your cat probably will be tired from all the excitement. Time to tell them good night.

I'm Going to Take a Nap Now

What kind of things would you get your cat for Father’s Day? Let’s see how many funny suggestions I get.

Close to the Beach

Standard

Time for another original story. Enjoy!!

When Cuddles was a kitten, his mama would always tell him that the world was a big place. There were so many places to go and things to explore! The more she talked about it, the more excited Cuddles became. He could hardly wait to go see what it was all about. To him, it seemed to take forever to get big enough to get out of box where he was born. His mama told him that was just the first step. He would have to get a lot bigger to be able to go outside.

While Cuddles waited to get bigger, his mama would tell him about some of the places she had seen in the books that the humans left lying around. So many pretty pictures to look at and dream about. Her favorite picture was of something the humans called a “beach”. All that sand made it seem like one giant litter box! How much fun would it be playing in that! There was a lot of water in the picture also, but Mama didn’t really care for that. She just wanted to be on the sand.

One day the humans started talking about going to this beach. Wow! Cuddles and Mama were really excited about finally being able to see this place. Everybody in the family was busy packing and getting things ready. However, no one got anything ready for the cats. The cats started to worry that they might not be going after all. Sure enough, the family left without them. Cuddles and Mama were so disappointed! There was another human in the house to take care of them, but that didn’t make them any happier. Cuddles finally decided:

Flying Around in Circles

Standard

Story Time!

It was a beautiful day for a trip! Bright, blue sky, very few clouds, and no wind. The family was excited to be on their way to visit friends and family in another part of the country. Mom and Dad had always enjoyed flying and looked forward to being able to do it again. Suitcases were packed and everyone was ready to go.

Dad drove the car to the airport where it would be parked until they arrived back home. The luggage was checked and everyone made their way through security. The kids were anxious to see which animal would be on the tail of their airplane. Wouldn’t that be fun if they could really talk! Soon it was time to board. They all settled down into their seats, buckled their seat belts, and listened to the flight attendants give their speech while the pilots got the plane ready for takeoff.

Away they went! That was always the part that the kids loved best. The plane leveled off and everyone was enjoying the scenery out of the window. Things looked so small!  All was going great until the plane started going around in circles. They were close to where they were suppose to land, but the plane kept going around in circles! People started to wonder if they were EVER going to come down or run out of gas instead! Then the plane straightened out and landed. As people were getting off the plane, the pilot explained about the circles.

First Luxery Cat Hotel Opens in the UK!

Standard

If your future travel plans include a visit to England, I can save you the problem of finding a hotel that will meet your needs as well as your pet(s) needs.  We are talking some real foo foo stuff here!

Meant to rectify what owners considered a “gap in the market,” the first-ever luxury cat hotel has opened its doors in the UK. The Meadow Cat Hotel in Cornwall took 18 months to complete, but after painstakingly building up the establishment from scratch, owner Gemma Machin, a former primary school teacher, is now welcoming guests to her “five-paw” resort.

“I think if the owners are going on holiday their cats should get a treat as well,” Machin said, according to the Western Morning News. “In lots of catteries cats are just put in a cage, but we can drive the cats to and from the hotel, offer them lots of stimulation to keep them active during their stay, give them large rooms and lots of attention.”

Machin’s hotel features under-floor heating, custom wrought-iron beds outfitted with memory foam mattresses and crushed velvet sheets and a gourmet daily menu that includes fresh king prawn and salmon filet — all at a fairly reasonable price. And, in addition to daily pet-pampering sessions (which include a lot of catnip), Meadow Cat also has amenities for cat-owners: each room in the hotel contains a webcam that tracks cats during their stay, which owners can access online.

“You get a view of your cat whenever you like — it’s for peace-of-mind really,” said Machin’s husband and business partner, Richard. “There is nothing to this level in Cornwall and I think it is because there is nothing to this standard in the UK. It is a new era for cats and their owners.”

What are your thoughts on this hotel?  As I said, it’s pretty fancy.  :>)  Don’t plan on going that way anytime soon, but it would be fun to check it out.
